Richard Head

Richard Victor Head (born May 8, 1945) is a record producer known for being one of the co-founders of Cowbell Records Inc.

The firstborn son of John 'Big' Head (1914-2001), a legendary record producer, Head got a job at his father's record label Studio Head Inc immediately after graduating from college. There, he gradually rose through the ranks and became an executive, though he was frequently overlooked in favour of his younger brother John 'Little John' Head Jr (1949-2012).

In 1997, Head met Jack Schitt at the Plaza Hotel in New York City and became best friends. Thirteen years later, he and Schitt were fired from Studio Head Inc due to 'allegations of misconduct'.

In 2011, Head and Schitt founded their own record Cowbell Records Inc, and have since signed numerous pop music artists to their label.
