The Youngstars are an English boy band from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England, and composed of Garry Gyles, Frankie Trojan, Eddy, Dav and Peter.

The band first came together when they each auditioned as solo candidates on British televised talent show Moneymaker in 2010, but were forced together as a five-piece boy band as there was already too many solo candidates. Despite several obstacles such as creative differences, raging hormones and musical ineptitude, they managed to become extremely popular with teenage audiences, and finished second, losing only to Salem the Talking Cat.

One year later, they released their debut album, All Nighter (2011), which topped major charts in the US and UK, and have generated hit singles including "What Makes You a Minger", "Play Me (Over and Over and Over Again)", and "Passion in My Trousers".

Afterwards, they followed this with two more albums, Look, a Tardis (2012), and Minimum Wage (2013), which have generated more hit singles and chart-toppers including "What's This S**t (On The Radi-Uh-Oh)", and "Sex and Drugs and Sausage Rolls".

During these early years, they have also received numerous music accolades, including seven Millennial Music Awards, four Pointless Awards, six Mic Drop Awards and 28 Pre-Teen Choice Awards.

Following this 'golden period', their aforementioned creative differences, raging hormones and musical ineptitude eventually came to a head, which influenced their latest, and most divisive album, Couch Potatoes (2015). Despite being not as successful as their previous albums, Couch Potatoes still managed to generate even more hit singles including "No Direction", and "Fortnite".

As of 2016, they are currently on indefinite hiatus so that Gyles and Trojan can pursue solo careers. Gyles is currently working on his upcoming solo album, MVP (2019), while Trojan is collaborating with Bradford-based dubstep musician DJ SKILLZ to produce an upcoming arthouse dubstep album, titled EPIC MAD SKILLZ BRAV (2019).
